Introduction
We are a small but
enthusiastic troop. After a short few years without a Scout troop, Chinley has
its own troop again!
Leaders 
We are lucky to have fully trained
leaders for our Scout Troop. Barry Walker is Scout Leader and will be happy
to give you more information of leader training and experience. In addition
there are a number of assistant leaders. You can contact Barry by clicking here.
Age Group 
101/2 to 14 years old. Scouts older
than 14 join the District Explorer Scout Unit which meets at Whaley Bridge.
Uniform
We expect all Scouts to wear full
official uniform by the time that a boy is invested in to the Scout Troop. He
is given his Group neckerchief on investiture. The uniform is available from
Sheffield Scout Shop. Please contact Barry
Walker for further information. Click on the uniform below for details of
what to wear.
Our Patrols
The Scout Troop has
2 patrols; Eagles and Falcons. Each patrol can have up to 6 Scouts in it.

Where we meet/ how to find us 
Scouts meet each Friday during school
term time. Most activities are based at Victory Hall.

How to join 
We try to accept new members as soon
as possible but have to keep numbers to a limit to make sure that the activity
programme remains challenging and safe (and our leaders stay sane!). If you
are interested in joining click here to find the form
that you need to complete. Offers of help from parents are always welcome and
may allow us to take on more boys as a result or widen the range of activities
we can offer the boys
Transferring from another group
We'd love to hear from you if you
have moved in to the area. Please contact us and let
us know you or your son's details, including his former group. We will try to
accommodate you straight away if possible.
